OSVM, Esprit change names

May 12, 2009

Following the merger between Esmertec Japan, Ubion and Websoft International in late 2008, and the subsequent foundation of eflow, the decision was made to change the names of the embedded browser "Esprit", and the lightweight virtual machine "OSVM" to reflect the new company's vision and strategic direction.

eflow is committed to further pursue the development of both products and to consolidate their lineups. Both products are indeed key to eflow's competitive edge, and have proven essential to those customers who have already integrated and deployed them.

Esprit becomes eSpinner

an embedded browser to make internet devices, well, "spin"

OSVM becomes CloudRunner

a truly compact virtual machine to power the "cloud" devices

Welcome to the age of Cloud Computing!
